Fixturlaser Stand P24 launches a fast and flexible method for alignment of critical machines. Fixturlaser XA, our new fast wireless shaft alignment system, can now be upgraded with a unique function for measurement of dynamic movements, such as thermal growth, process forces etc; the Fixturlaser OL2RXA (Offline-to-running). Fixturlaser OL2RXA is flexible because you do not have to use the alignment system in order to mount the fixtures. Also "cold" and "hot" measurements can be performed at different occasions and saved separately. The results from the measurement are machine unique target values that are used to accomplish the precision shaft alignment.

 Parker Instrumentation Stand N12
announces a radical new design of tube connector that can deliver huge cost
savings to builders of industrial equipment involving fluids.
Assembled by means of a simple push-fit operation, the new connectors provide
permanent connections for fluid systems operating at up to 20,000 PSI / 1,379
bar. For permanent connections, and these elevated pressures, system builders
would typically use either welded or 'cone and thread' style fittings, which are
time consuming and expensive to install. Compared with these products, Parker
Instrumentation estimates that its new Phastite connectors could reduce
installation costs by a factor of 90% or more.

Economical Advantages - Ecological Merits
Westfalia Separator Mineraloil Systems GmbH, Stand A16 - The trend towards burning higher viscosity and higher density fuel oils, together with an increasingly common usage of residuals, means that the amount of sludge being created from both fuel and lube oil systems is increasing.
At Power-Gen Europe in Madrid, Westfalia Separator Mineraloil Systems
will present their sludge treatment plant in combination with new process technoloy (Ultrasonic). This innovative system will be capable of reducing the volume of sludge for disposal by up to 90%. In addition, fuel oil is recovered for re-use and recovered lubricating oil can be used as boiler fuel.

Metso Automation, Stand E58 is providing the control system for the PKE Łagisza power station in Poland. This plant will be the first supercritical CFB unit in the world. As a CFB boiler is slower than a traditional boiler and the once-through process has a smaller steam storage capacity than the drum boilers, the combination is dynamically challenging.
Prompted by this challenge we have developed a completely new unit master controller. The new controller is based on model predictive control theory. Using our long experience with the traditional controls we combined the best of both approaches for truly superior control performance.

Mixing technology, Stand C1 will show at POWER-GEN Europe their Phoenix system with revolutionary AirWing air sparge. The system provides outstanding forced oxidation performance for flue gas desulphurisation and will be shown with a side entry absorber agitator.
Designed specifically for use with the company's FGD impeller, the Phoenix system translates radial flow components to improve thrust and flow velocity over the AirWing, increasing residence time and eliminating air entrapment, cavitation and air draw-back at the impeller.
Mixing Solutions will also be highlighting its ability for technological development through FEA, CFD and laboratory testing, with the largest test tank facility of its type in the world.

Petro-Canada - stand N73 After a very successful field trial, Petro-Canada has announced that their SENTRON LD 5000 premium natural gas engine oil (NGEO), is being recommended by GE Energy Jenbacher for use in their gas engines up to 16-bar Brake Mean Effective Pressure (BMEP) output in sweet gas applications. The field trial was conducted in a new Combined Heat and Power (CHP) - also known as cogeneration - high pressure, high efficiency engine in commercial service.
This specific engine - a GE Energy Jenbacher J616 GS-N.LC having 16 bar output - provides power and heat to a chemical plant located in Lingen, Germany.
Petro-Canada believes that no other product, to date, has demonstrated greater extended drain potential than SENTRON LD 5000 in similar GE Energy Jenbacher engines. "The drain interval during this trial was 10,800 hours - which is very long. It's also important to point out that at this change-out the oil was still suitable for continued use," explains Nick Moat, Petro-Canada's R&D Specialist for NGEOs. "Moreover, the extended drain interval did not cause increased wear or deposits".
Please visit stand N73 and speak with Jim Putz, Category Manager, Natural Gas Engine Oils, Petro-Canada Lubricants.
