PennWell Corporation Announces Record Attendance at
POWER-GEN Europe 2007
Co-location of POWER-GRID Europe and Renewable Energy Europe Proves Winning Combination
June 28, 2007, Madrid, Spain – PennWell Corporation announced a record final attendance number of more than 11,000 attendees from 90 countries at POWER-GEN Europe 2007, held at the Feria de Madrid, June 26-28.
Co-located with the inaugural POWER-GRID Europe and Renewable Energy Europe events, the combination resulted in the industry’s most comprehensive gathering of the three key power production and delivery industries under one roof.
“The co-location of POWER-GEN Europe, POWER-GRID Europe and Renewable Energy Europe has resulted in an unprecedented approach to providing critical educational and new business development opportunities to the European market. With an exhibition space rebooking rate of over 100% for the 2008 event in Milan, plus a record 2007 attendance, the response by both exhibitors and the market as a whole has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Mr. Glenn Ensor, Director of European Events, PennWell Corp.
POWER-GEN Europe is Europe´s largest conference and exhibition dedicated to power generation, and is the second largest event in PennWell’s POWER-GEN global franchise. Exhibiting companies worldwide use the POWER-GEN events as an international ‘one-stop-shop’ for penetrating markets and presenting their products and services to a global audience. The POWER-GEN franchise represents the world’s largest network of global power industry events, staging annually in North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
POWER-GEN Europe 2007 featured eight tracks of conference sessions and more than 170 presentations by leading industry professionals from around the world. The attendance this year marked a 25% increase over 2006 attendance and sets the stage for another record-breaking event next year in Milan.
